Update Xperia S to Jellybean 4.1.2

Recently, Sony released an Android 4.1.2 Jelly Bean update for Xperia S with build number 6.2.B.0.200 which brings a whole new user experience.

Sony released the 6.2.B.0.211 update after the PTCRB certification and this time, it will bring major bug fixes for Wi-Fi & GPS malfunction found in from 6.2.B.0.200 firmware build. This update is now being pushed gradually to users worldwide. Owners of the Xperia S may expect push notifications of this new firmware update.

How to Update Your Sony Xperia S
Currently, the update is being delivered via Sony PC Companion using a computer. Owners of the Xperia S must download and install the software from the Sony Mobile Web site to get the new firmware.
1.      Download and install the Sony PC Companion software from here.
2.      Launch the Sony PC Companion on your computer after the installation.
3.      Connect your Sony Xperia S to the computer via USB cable.
4.      Wait till the software install the drivers from your phone.
5.      A prompt should notify you about the latest firmware.
6.      Follow the instructions on the Sony PC Companion to update your phone. Make sure to create a backup of all your personal settings, information and data files on your Xperia S before updating.
